Privacy Policy

Minimal Monitor reads real-time hardware and system data directly from your device to display live stats. This data is processed locally on your phone and is never transmitted to any external server.

The information read from your device includes:

• CPU usage, frequency, and temperature
• GPU load and frequency
• RAM and storage usage
• Battery level, temperature, voltage, and charging status
• Display refresh rate and resolution
• Network speed (upload & download)
• Sensor readings (gyroscope, accelerometer, etc.)
• Device build properties (Android version, model, manufacturer)

All data read by Minimal Monitor is used exclusively to display real-time statistics within the app. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

• Display live system stats in the overlay and main dashboard
• Show device build and hardware information in the device info screen
• No data is stored between app sessions beyond your local settings

Minimal Monitor requests the following Android permissions, each explained below:

• READ_PHONE_STATE — Required to read device identifiers like model name, Android version, and SIM info for the device info screen. No call data is accessed.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE — Required to run the live overlay service while you use other apps.
• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW — Required to draw the floating stats overlay on top of other apps.
• INTERNET — Required only if network speed monitoring is active. No data is sent externally.
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Required to display network connection type (Wi-Fi, mobile data).
• BATTERY_STATS — Required to read detailed battery information including wattage and voltage.

Minimal Monitor does not operate any servers. There is no user account system, no sign-in, and no cloud storage.

• Your preferences (theme, overlay position) are saved locally on your device only
• We do not sell, trade, or share any data with third parties
• We do not have access to any data on your device at any time

Minimal Monitor does not currently integrate any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or crash reporting. The app does not include:

• Google AdMob or any advertising SDK
• Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics
• Facebook SDK or any social login
• Any data broker or tracking SDK

If third-party services are added in future versions, this policy will be updated and users will be notified.

Minimal Monitor is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since no personal data is collected from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent data collection from children.

Since Minimal Monitor does not collect or store any personal data, there is no data to access, delete, or export. However, you retain the right to:

• Revoke any app permission at any time via Android Settings → Apps → Minimal Monitor → Permissions
• Uninstall the app at any time, which removes all locally stored preferences
• Contact us with any privacy-related questions or concerns

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through the app or Play Store listing.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
